My Name Is Khan

"My Name Is Khan", the latest blockbuster movie of King Khan (Sharuk Khan) was a long waiting movie. The actor after a period did a very good character role that of an Asperger's syndrome patient. The movie is directed by Karan Johar. After "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhi Kushi Khabi Kham", Karan once again brought the successful pair SharukKhan and Kajol and this time too he was able to bring up their chemistry well suited for the movie.

MNIK turned to be record hit in the opening days, crossing the latest records of "3Idiots". Though the story line of the movie turns to be simple and many plots are common (seen earlier - Swades), the screen play has been done well enough to hold the viewers.When compared to 3Idiots MNIK is not much entertaining, mainly because of its sentimental approach.

James Cameron directed AVATAR created another big hit (after Titanic) in theatres all over the world, in India too it was a superhit, in Kerala the audience accepted this English Sci-Fi movie with both hands, it is a super hit. The 3D version were released in 3 theatres at Thrivanandapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode. In Kochi the movie is still running houseful. The movie tells story of an imaginary land Pandora with the native Navis. The human invasion to this land were opposed by Navis. To overcome them, a group of scientist made Avatars(a replicate of a person) resembling to Navi group, and send them to meet and talk to Navis. For same mission the hero Sam Worthington went there and met a Navi girl (Zoe Saldana) and came to know that humans are trying to destroy the land, so he turns against humans and decided to work along with Navi's and finally they wins and humans has to come back to earth.

With this simple story along with mind blowing computer animations creating the creatures and the land Pandora, the movie turned to be a great visual experience.

Though high-end special effects are used the movie needs little more strong script, like Titanic. Even when the makers talks about 3D effects the scenes in the movie doesn't give much use of the 3D effect as they did in Toy Story 3 or even our old malaylam movie "My Dear Kuttichathan".

Anyway Avatar crossed all the collection records worldwide and in their domestic theaters.

Avatar is worth watching....

3 Idiots

Rajkumar Hirani's after Munna Bhai series, super hit comedy movie "3 Idiots" turns to be a super hit in kerala theaters too. The movie narrates the story of 3 friends.
Well written script with natural comedy sequence and best marketing is the secret behind the success.
3 Idiots casts Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani, and it is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Breaking all records 3 Idiots continue running with packed theaters.

Ishqiya

"Ishqiya" - newly release hindi movie starring Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah, is quite a good movie to watch. All of them acted well and script written in a well manner that the movie turns to be a fast moving. The music composed by Vishal Bharadwaj, suits well to the script and its nice.

Chattambinaadu

Mammootty starring "Chattambinaadu" is the new Shafi movie. Its a comedy based action movie, when compared with Mammootty's earlier movies "Chattambinaadu" cannot be considered as a good one. Its having week story line. Suraj and Salimkumar has tried their level best to bring-up the comedy sequences.

Evidam Swargamanu

Rosshan Andrrews strikes back again and made a hatrick superhit, after Udayananu Tharam and Notebook. Evidam Swargamanu is the recent Mohanlal movie with Comedy, sentiments, and little bit of action, altogether its a family movie. Though it gives a resembles with the hindi movie "Khosla Ka Ghosla", its nicely converted with malayalam background.

Happy Husbands

"Happy Husbands" is the second movie by director Saji Surendran, who made the super hit movie Evar Vivahidarayal. This movie is also a comedy movie with witty dialogues and scenes. Though it is a remake of super hit Hindi move "No Entry", it is nicely rewritten to match with Malayalam background. With good music score by M. Jayachandran, movie is nice one to watch.

Starring : Jayaram, Indrajith, Rima Kallingal, Jayasurya, Samvrutha Sunil and Bhavana and Suraj with his witty dialogues and funny scenes.

Similar to Bollywood movies there is title songs which is totally out of the movie story.

Altogether "Happy Husbands" is worth watching

Palerimanikyam - Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Kadha

Palerimanikyam.. is a quite different movie from Renjith starring Mamootty with 3 roles. This is a movie version of a book written by TP Rajeevan with same title. With Mamootty the movie casts Sreenivasan, Siddique, Mythili, Shwetha Menon and few newcommers.

This movie is worth enough to watch.

Drona 2010

Drona 2010 - Mammootty’s new movie had a lot of expectation, the movie tried to bring horror, suspense, action, etc but failed to bring up any of them properly. Poor content and not well written script. The punch dialogues doesn’t gives proper punch enough.The role done Thilakan gives memories of Shaji’s old movie Aaram Thamburan.
