Nayakan

Indrajith staring “Nayakan” doing well in theaters.Nayakan is the first movie with Indrajith as action hero. The movie is having a common concept of hero taking revenge against vilian who killed his family members. The way in which its being narrated is the highlight of the movie, with Kadakali as its backdrop.

As other action movies, Varadhan (Indrajith) who is the son of a famous Kadakali Performer (role played by Kalashala Babu), want to take revenge on JS (Sidique ) who is a famous magician in front of public but actually a big smuggler and a underworld don. JS has killed Varadhan’s father and sister. How Varadhan takes the revenge against his enemy is the rest of the movie.

The well written script by Rafeek PS is the power of the movie, Lijo Jose Pellisery who directed the movie had tried his level best to present the movie well but still it lacks director experience. The camera by Manoj Paramahamsa has done an excellent work, Prashant Pillai’s music also well suited to the movie. Though the songs are not so catching, the background music perfectly matched with the scenes.

Indrajith had done the role well, others like Thilakan, Sidique, Jagathy Sreekumar, Vijayaraghavan, Lalu Alex, Dhanya Mary also done their own roles as well as possible. In some scenes we feel Sidique is overacting his role.

The only weakness of the movie is the dialogue presentation, the dialogue delivery was very slow like it is some stage drama is going on.

“Nayakan” produced by Anoop Johson Karedan under the banner of Illunimato Films.

Nayakan is watchable movie

In Ghost House Inn

“In Ghost House Inn”, is the 3 part for “In Hari Har Nagar”. The IInd part “2Hari Har Nagar” was a super hit movie of the year. With that success in mind the writer - director LAL has attempted to make the 3 part for the movie with same Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Sidique), Thomaskutty (Asokan) and Appukuttan (Jagadesh), under the banner of Lal creations and PNV Films.

This time Lal has changed the mood of the film from a complete comedy movie to a little bit horror movie and comedy sequence within it.

This time Thomaskutty purchased an old bungalow in Ooty which seems to be a haunted place, the people living there believes that there a ghost of a lady who was killed 70 years before and will attack everyone who purchase the bungalow. The four friends come together to this bungalow to prove that there is no ghost there, but then starts the problems, how they face the problems from Ghost are shown in the movie with as usual humor scenes and witty dialogues.

Similar to earlier versions this time too Appukuttan (Jagadesh) had done his role well, but director had removed the common dialogues like ‘Thomaskutty vittoda…” from the movie.

Alex Paul did the music for the movie, when compared to first and second part of the movie, the songs are not so catching. Along with Mukesh, Sidique, Asokan, Jagadesh movie casts Rohini, Lena, Reena Basheer, Rakhi, Nedumudi Venu, Anoop Chandran, Radhika (Classmates fame).

“In Ghost House Inn” is a good entertainer for the weekend.

Thanthonni

"Thanthonni" is the latest action packed movie from Prithviraj. "Thanthonni" is normal commercial movie, with less punch dialogues and scenes. The movie is directed by George Varghese and produced by Shahul Hameed Marikar under the banner of Marikar Films.The story line of the movie is simple as some normal masala tamil movies.
Vadakkan Veettil Kochukunju (Prithviraj) , who lost his father (which is mystery revealed at the middle of movie) ran away from home in his child hood days and return back after 15-20 years as a totally waste guy with no earnings and always in street fights. Vadakkan Veettu is much reputed family with everyone working in high official positions, like minister,police, district collector,etc, so for them Kochukunju is a big headache. Really Kochukunju is a Thanthonni (waste guy) or is he really a hero thats the movie all about.
Movie cast Prithviraj, Sheela,Suraj, Ambika, Captain Raju, Vijayaraghavan, Saikumar,Suresh Krishna,and others.
The music score by Thej Mervin.
Watching in theater is waste of time and money, better watch it in CD/DVD.

Body Gaurd (Malayalam)

Dileep-Sidique new movie 'BodyGaurd' running in theaters. Nothing much to be told about this movie. When compared with other Sidique movies, this one is not so worth.Director had tried to bring comedy scenes to the movie through Harishree Ashoken and Dileep but they are hard to laugh. Movie resembles with many of older Tamil and Hindi movies, the main plot of Jayakrishnan(Dileep) becoming body gaurd of Ashokan (Thyagarajan) is the same in Vikrams tamil movie (Beema) and other Hindi movies like Main Hoon Na and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.The usual love story, sacrifice, etc.

Ouseppachan did the music for the movie, the songs are good but there are too much of songs and in many cases unnecessarily added to the movie.

Movie casts Dileep as Jayakrishnan, Nayanthara as Ammu, Mithra Kurien as Sethulakshmi, Thyagarajan as Ashokan, Harishree Asokan, Janardhanan, Cochin Haneefa, Unda Pakru and others

In total the movie is not much worth in watching.Go for it if you just like watching Dileep and Nayanthara.

Aagathan - The One Who Came

"Aagathan - The one who came", is the new movie from Dileep & Kamal after "Pachakuthira". This time Kamal had a different style in the making of the movie. The name "Aagathan" well suited to movie, since the story starts when Gautham Menon (Dileep) come to meet Major General Hareendra Natha Varma (Sathya Raj), and reveals the secret.. Dileep had done a good work in this movie. The casting done for the movie is good. As usual like other Kamal movies, this movie also has a good appreciation for its music score done by Ouseppachan.
Casting :

* Dileep as Gautham Menon
* Sathyaraj as Col. Hareendranatha Verma
* Charmee Kaur as Shreya
* Lal as Mj. George Joseph
* Biju Menon
* Innocent
* Zarina Wahab as Malathi (W/o Hareendranatha Verma)

Many plots of the movie resembles with many of the old tamil movies, and the climax could have been little more good, director had made so fast that it lost its clarity. Anyway Aagathan is worth watching.
