Pramani

“Pramani” - Mamootty staring pramani is the latest movie in theaters. Movie directed by B.Unnikrishnan who directed the superHIT movie Madambi. There is not much to say about the movie, the director has took almost the same script of Madambi and relpaced few areas like the background of the Hero (Mohanlal money lender with only money minded and having no emotional feeling - here in Pramani, Mamootty is a money minded Panchayat President who has no emotinal feelings towards his people) both the films starts with projecting the hero has a bad character and towards end as a good one. Both has one secret known to the hero alone which will be revealed towards the end of the movie. Both the movies have similar type characters. The story is same old malayalam movies with predicted climax, many scenes even reflects Madambi.

Paiyaa

"Paiyaa", latest super hit from Karthi after Ayirathil Oruvan. Linguswamy directed movie is same as other normal masala tamil movies. The concept of movie turns to be new, most of the movie happens on the road while driving from Bangalore to Mumbai. The cinematography by Madhi is an excellent work, especially during the stunt scenes and car chasing. There is not much to say about the movie, the songs of movie except "En Kadhal Solla.." are not much catching. The stunt scenes reflects old movies like single hero fights with 10 fighters who are double his size, even when hero gets blow in head and chest many times with iron bars he walks freely and continue fight are same unbelievable masala mix.

Main plot of the movie is when Siva (Karthi) meets Charulatha (Tamannaah) and takes her to Mumbai via car to save her from gangsters... on way they have lot of problems, etc.

Prince - 2010

"Prince" - the latest movie by Vivek Oberoi came to theaters on April 9th with lot of expectations. Movie all about a Professional thief Prince (Vivek Oberoi), who during one of mission associates with CBI to catch an international criminal Sarang (Isaiah). The mission was to steel an ancient coin, but actually the coin has a microchip which with a help of a computer software can unload/reload the information from human brain and represent/store them in computer hard disc, while doing so it will erase the information from the brain, and when Prince deliver this coin to Sarang, CBI official Mr. Khan (Sanjay Kapoor) can arrest them, that was the deal. But unfortunately when Prince stolen the coin and was delivering to Sarang, they applied it over Prince itself and made him to loose all his memories. Before Prince loose his all memories he took back the coin and escaped..The information from brain gets deleted only when he sleeps. The next day morning Prince forgotten everything that happened last night and now he needs to find the coin which he took from Sarang to reload his memories. How Prince was able to get back the coin and solve the problems is the story.

The director of the movie Kookie V Gulati has tried to bring lot of effects and sequences to the movie but lacks perfection and clarity in the script. The major drawback for the movie is the poor script. When comparing to similar movies like Dhoom, Prince is not worth at all.. Many of the stunt sequences are done my Vivek himself, but that spoiled the scene. The back ground music was very bad, it didn't given any impact on the scene especially on bike chases, music was done by Sandeep Shirodkar.

Anyway, watch Prince in a rental DVD at home.

Thamizh Padam

"Thamizh Padam"-the first supper hit movie of the year 2010, Written and Directed by debutant director C. S. Amudhan, staring Shiva (Chennai 600028 fame) and Disha Pandey (New face). The comedy track movie mimics all the latest and old tamil movies and make real fun of the illogical masala tamil movies, like a child growing up by riding a bicycle, hero become rich in a song of 2 minutes, etc. The script has been done in a careful way such that it covers similar scene from many super hit movies (like Sivaji, Thirupachi, Thalapathi, Boys, Gajani, Anniyan, and many more) with out loosing the story line.

The music score by Kannan has done a good job. The movie also have a romantic song with no proper words in it.

Thamizh Padam is a nice entertainer for weekend.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa

"Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa" is the latest movie from Gautham Menon after "Varanam Ayiram". This time Gautham Menon cast Silambarasan (Simbu) in the lead role with Thrisha.

This is a love story between Kartick (Simbu) and Jessie (Thrisha). Kartick - a teenage guy after finishing his Mechanical Engg, trying for a chance in movie to work as a director. His dream itself to be a success director and with this in mind he joins as Asst. director to K.S. Ravikumar.Jessie working as a IT Professional in Polaris. In the first sight itself Kartick fallen in love with Jessie but she belongs to a Malayalee family in Alapuzha district of Kerala. The rest movie is how they fallen in love, will their love be successful or it turns to be a failure, will Kartick turns to be a successful director.

The movie have many twist and turns and having a good, unpredictable climax which made the movie a success. The music score is by A.R.Rahman, though the songs are soft but are not so catching one.

Other than Simbu and Trisha the movie casts Babu Antony,Uma Padmanaban, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and others. Movie was produced by Madhan,Ganesh Janardhanan,Elred Kumar

"Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa" is a good movie to watch.
